Key Objectives

  • The Greening portfolio has exceeded expectations as set out in the business plan, focusing on the rehabilitation of local indigenous plants.
  • This initiative seeks to transform parks and green areas into vibrant, multifunctional community spaces that offer recreational, educational, and social benefits.
  • Planned upgrades, spanning several years, will address infrastructure needs, improve accessibility, and incorporate sustainable practices.

Key Activities for the current term

  • Sluysken Park Upgrade: Sluysken Park has been chosen as the initial focus, with a phased upgrade plan in place to progressively enhance its facilities and aesthetics.

  • Nature Walks: We will continue to offer guided nature walks for both children and adults, aiming to educate and engage our community with the local environment and its biodiversity.
